butt when travelling by train in Finland...outside the golden
triangle :-)
Yeah. Feels quite retro when hg clone for a medium
sized codebase (~1000 changesets, 35 mb of data) takes over 15
minutes :)
3G in a moving target, like a train, in Finland is such a pain!
I always try it and it almost always doesn't work at all. Now I'm
at the comfort of my new flat in Pärnu Estonia -- seems to work OK,
albeit a bit slow (which is understandable). But my N95 says it's a
3.5G connection, which is cool. (At least they have those in
here...)
Not going to even try to push (12Mpix) pics to Flickr, though...

Yep, it is a bit surreal for me, too :) I've planned something
like this for years, but it was always in the "maybe someday" as in
"never" category.
I'm still coming back to Finland by September. Or at least
that's the plan. As long as my work (and my non-existent social
life) doesnt keep me in one place, there's nothing stopping me to
stay longer or go to other places.
The main reason for me being here for the summer is to learn the
language, which has worked out fine so far :)
Yep. That's the way things should be. Before you get fixed to
some place you should experience and seek. Things tend to get into
their places. I'm happy for you. That really sounds nice and i bet
it also is. Have a great summer there...and autumn..if that is what
it takes :-)
